Marcas developed a deeper love for the human body during his time spent in the Athletic Training program while at Bethel College. Working first-hand with acute injuries on the field with various types of athletes sparked a passion for the rehabilitation process that followed. He proceeded to chase his dream of beginning a career rooted in helping others through gaining more knowledge and hands-on experience in the physical therapy program at WSU.

Marcas is committed to the continuous pursuit of science-based knowledge to help patients return to the activities they love with an improved quality of life. He enjoys working with a variety of musculoskeletal and neurological injuries; sports, joint replacements, acute and chronic pain alike, as well as with a diverse group of people. One of his long-term goals includes offering physical therapy services to minority and multiple minority populations, including LGBT+ individuals, to help reduce the current stigmas and disparities in health care amongst minority groups.  He is always determined to stand in solidarity and serve his patients in an open and affirming manner.

Raised in the small town of Wamego, KS, Marcas learned the values of hard work, humor, and to appreciate the little positives in life. Since then, he has developed a desire to travel the world with his partner, Carmen, explore the great outdoors, spend time with good company and animals, and discover the best hole in the wall restaurants in town. Other hobbies include; binge-watching Netflix shows, partaking in deep discussions, and delving into local breweries.
