Dr. Brandon Hughes, PT, DPT

  • University of Arkansas at Little Rock, Bachelor’s Degree in Health Education & Promotion
  • Wichita State University, Doctor of Physical Therapy, 2019

Brandon relocated to Wichita in 2014 with plans to attend Wichita State University’s DPT program. He met his wife, Erika, that year and got married in 2015. He was then accepted into the program in 2016. A year later, they welcomed their son, Bryant, into the world. In 2018, they added a third dog to the mix and moved for the third time in three years – titling their home “The Zoo” – because a real zoo’s got nothing on a toddler and three dogs! In 2019, Brandon graduated from Wichita State University with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and the adventure continues.

He loves being able to take the extra time with his patients to get to the bottom of what their pathology is and how he can help them get back to doing the things they love. He’s had several clinical rotations that have helped him improve his manual therapy skills, which is one of his favorite aspects of PT. Brandon believes the best way to help a person return to enjoying everyday life is by first listening to them, then educating them on how physical therapy can help, followed by giving them the tools they need and empowering them to succeed. Outside of physical therapy, he loves spending time with his wife and son, walking their dogs, and working on projects around the house.
