Kyla Knapp PTA
Physical Therapist AssistantKyla Knapp PTA
Physical Therapist AssistantKyla decided she wanted to go into physical therapy as a career after receiving therapy in high school for a sports injury. She enjoyed the atmosphere of the office she attended therapy at, and decided to job shadow.
Kyla grew up in Macksville, Kansas, and attended Sterling College on a volleyball scholarship. She obtained a Bachelor degree in exercise science. After college, she worked as a wellness coordinator at a recreation commission, and then decided to go back to Hutchinson Community College for her physical therapist assistant degree.
She enjoys working with patients of all ages and backgrounds, but especially enjoys working with orthopedic patients and the geriatric population. The most rewarding part about her career is seeing her patients improve their quality of life and return to function.
Outside of the therapy gym, Kyla enjoys gardening, cooking, and spending time with her husband and her two sons, following them to all of their activities.
