Sarah Woelk PT, DPT, CLT
Physical TherapistSarah Woelk PT, DPT, CLT
Physical TherapistSarah was born and raised in Michigan, where she graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology. She spent the first part of her medical career in the laboratory, but always knew her calling was to the field physical therapy. She went on to pursue her Doctor of Physical Therapy and graduated from Wichita State University.
During her time at WSU, she discovered her passion for treating patients with lymphedema and pelvic floor dysfunction- patients can experience such a positive life impact when these conditions are addressed. She completed special training in these areas to gain an increased understanding of the pathologies and how to treat them to better serve her patients.
The ability for a person to participate in and enjoy the things they love is incredibly lifegiving. It is also immensely rewarding as a physical therapist to learn what people have a passion for and help them get back to doing those things. Sarah loves to work with people and find creative ways to incorporate their interests into their physical therapy program.
Sarah has also been an active participant and supporter of WSU’s GoBabyGo program. This program is a collaboration between physical therapy and engineering students who work together to find innovative ways to adapt a ride on toy car to be used by a child with disabilities to improve the child’s mobility. She has assisted in the build process and photographed for the delivery day events. Her favorite part of the process is seeing the face of the child receiving the car light up as they discover how to use the car and make it go.
When not in the clinic, Sarah likes to travel and is always up for an exciting new adventure. She also enjoys her hobby photography, working with her horses, and most of all spending time with her family.
Sarah would love the opportunity to work with you, learn your goals, and help you progress toward the life you want to live.
